I have a betta, mystery snail, and bladder snails in a 10 gallon.
Iām assuming theyāre mystery snail eggs but it freaked me out when I found it this morning. Also the water level is low right now, was going to refill today but do the eggs need to be above the water line?

The answer is crawling on the glass about 2 inches below the egg sacs. Mystery snail eggs

Am I the only one that thought “brains” for sure. š
Mystery snail egg. If you want to let them hatch, fill the tank up until the water line is a little below them. Might take 2-3 weeks for babies to come out. Get a fitting lid for the tank because the snailings will crawl everywhere until they find water. Feed them plenty of calcium rich foods or add crushed oyster shells. Do keep in mind that they can and will take over the tank so keep an eye on your ammonia and nitrates when the babies get bigger because of their bioload. You can sell the babies once they get to about an inch across, just donāt release them into the wild because they are considered an invasive species in many states/countries.
If you donāt want to deal with them, just use a spatula or metal scraper/razor to dislodge the egg cluster and crush them. You can do that in the tank too. Free food and calcium for the snails.
Welcome to the thunderdome. Next thing you will know you will have the pink eggs everywhere and a million mystery snails lol
Edit: yes they lay the eggs right above the water line
It’s a Mystery….
Would highly recommend not trying to raise them. Most betta tanks are not nearly large enough to handle that many snails suddenly. It is very likely to crash your cycle if you are not super on top of it. Your best bet is to scrape them off with a razor or spatula or old credit card might even work. Then freeze them for a few days and crush and dispose of them.
