I run a 55 gallon community tank. My water is about as hard as is physically possible and I abandoned the biotope plans the second I realised I could finally ethically own a pleco (I have two BN who I adore). This tank is an absolute hodgepodge of small schooling species I think are cool. Lampeye killifish, Pygmy corydoras, glowlight danio, kohaku guppies… I’m saying all this because of the existing information about breeding this species saying the absolute opposite to all of this 😂 These guys are my favourites though, they’re so incredibly beautiful when fired up.
Yesterday while cooing over my new kohaku guppies I noticed this little guy! My Angolan barbs have bred and this guy has survived to be big enough that nothing will bother him in a community tank! Extremely cool!
