Yo, super confident in my spinning reel capabilities currently. Looking into getting a bait casting setup.

For learning purposes, would a higher quality bait caster be better?

Don’t want to break the bank, but don’t want to waste time learning on something holding me back if that makes sense.

Cheers thanks guys!

😂I had that same rod and 110 but returned it because while very light and sensitive it wasn’t the most comfortable with that weird gap by reel seat

  2. Getting a decent, mid-level reel is going to be much better than something cheap. You obviously know what you’re doing and I guarantee you’ll catch on after a couple of casts. Figure out a budget and buy the best reel you can afford! Can’t go wrong with a Curado or a Tatula SVTW.

IMO higher quality isn’t going to help with learning necessarily. I still bird nest my higher end reels lol.
Something like a Tatula CT is a good learner. It’s good quality and casts well while still being an easy find on sale for like 100 bucks sometimes. Hope that helps 👌
