I have a trip down to Sanibel island this summer and I was wondering if these would be sufficient for some light inshore fishing for snook and other inshore species. i’ll be fishing near mangroves and also just beach fishing. Slide 1: 3000 nasci spooled with 15 pound braid 25 pound fluoro leader and before i go i’m going to get a st croix triumph medium. Slide 2: Slx a spooled with 15 pound braid and same leader, on I think a medium rod (i got it from a friend) if you recommend any different rods for the slx that i could use for bass and salt water feel free to suggest.

I’d respool both of those. The nasci is under spooled and 15 lb braid on a bait caster is likely to dig into itself. Otherwise, both rigs should be just fine unless you get yourself into some big snook. You may lose big girls in the mangroves. On the beach they will be fine because there’s no structure for them to wrap up in. Check out blind pass between Sanibel and Captiva and the Sanibel causeway
