hello so I posted a TikTok video of my aquarium which is just for one beta fish. It’s a 6.5 gallon which I know is on the smaller side, but it’s still in the range ok for betas and they said get proper Care. they were saying all sorts of stuff and I’m pretty sure a lot of them were saying that because of the filter I had on the video, so I’m gonna show you all my tank and then screenshot the video and I apologize for it looking so cloudy. The light I have is so bright and the new one I bought on the Amazon has not come in yet. The one without the writing is the one with no filter and the one with the writing. I’m also gonna show you what I wrote as the description under the video I guess I have to post it in the comments. I’m not sure.

this is the one from TikTok. The filter definitely made it look different and I’ll show you what I wrote as the description right under this.
Looks like a fine tank for a beta. They are right that beta’s don’t like reflective glass. But as long as your filter is rated for 5+ gallons and is cycled properly you should be fine.
It’s fine, maybe add some live plants if you can. Bettas enjoy hiding in them
( THIS IS WHAT THE DESCRIPTION WAS) make sure you put it on the outside of the tank don’t put it in the inside because that would be extremely toxic and it would deteriorate and kill your beta fish. Make sure you have a suitable tank for your beta 5 gallon minimum but higher is preferred. Make sure you don’t use colorful stones in your beta fishes tank, cause it can indeed make your beta fish sick because of the dyes in the stones and can kill it. Make sure you have a heater, beta fish are not cold water animals they need between 72 and 86 and real plants are very good for oxygen I don’t have any real plants yet but one day I will. Make sure that you have a very calm filter. Don’t get something that will literally be like a wave pole for your beta fish, and make sure your beta has plenty of places to hide and a place to rest because with their big fins, they get tired, so it’s good for them to have a good place to rest and don’t rely on the fish food that is just packed in beginner beta kits and never get those cause they are not adequate to what your beta will actually need and make sure you run your water before you acclimate your beta. I suggest at least two weeks and make sure you have test strips so you can check your waters balances to make sure the chemicals are correct before you acclimate your fish into the water which takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on how you decide to do it I like the drop method. I really would like people to know that caring for betas is not what it seems. You can’t just get a fish put it in vase. Give it a couple pebbles the bottom and feed it things that look like fruity pebbles on a day-to-day basis if it lives, you’re lucky but that don’t mean it’s happy betas are amazing creatures who actually learn tricks and it hurts me when I see them get mistreated but fish are the main species that get mistreated love all animals don’t just loven cats dogs and furry things but that’s neither here nor there right now if you read through this entire thing, thank you so much means the world to me post your beta tank down below would love to see them and yeah, let me know if y’all like the liner idea.
People like to say that 6 and up is good for a beta but honestly it is not. At that size it is just so prone to fluctuations in parameters. Expert betta keepers say 10 is the minimum and I agree
i would try to add some live plants and/or more cover for him to hide behind to feel safe
Try to create a more natural setup by adding live plants, driftwood and/or rocks.
