This is biofilm, just leave it alone đ If you plan on adding shrimp once cycled, theyâll devour it
Normal part of cycling. Biofilm is eating sugars dissolving out of the wood. It’ll clear up on its own. And if any is there when cycle is complete both shrimp and snails will eat it right up.
Just let it ride
It will go away on its own once your tank cycles and you add some shrimp. My 5 cherry shrimp ate all of it off a piece of spider wood in my tank by the next day.
Save it for your snail if you get one. Theyâll go after it like Pacman.
Omg Iâve never used artificial decor but Iâm obsessed with the sealoon please tell me where itâs from! (And the biofilm is fine just ignore it and itâll disappear as the take finishes cycling and gets stocked.)

Shrimp would like to know your location
