Betta Fish: newbie to fish keeping – any improvements?

looking for any advice or improvements i could make on my first ever tank! i want my fish to be as happy as possible.

i’m still waiting for a lot of the plants to grow in properly, and a few are going through plant melt (which i have been told can happen in new tanks)

my betta (ken), is the most chill guy ever, and the embers seem to enjoy following him around. i’ve got a handful of amanos (some huge ones), and 2 zebra snails. i’m hoping to add some pygmy corys, cherry shrimp and maybe eventually otos. although if anyone has any other suggestions, im open to changing the plan!
