My return to baitcasting has been a pleasant surprise! Swore off baitcasters around 10 years ago because I just wasn’t having any fun backlashing so often. Finally decided to pick up a Shimano SLX XT & I’m not sure if it’s the higher quality reel (came from abu garcia black max), 40lb braid, or just having a fresh start that made it so much more enjoyable. Have 14 hours on the new setup only backlashed once. Awesome
