This past weekend despite -35c temps I set out with two friends on an epic journey to Lac La Ronge for some giant lake trout. The three of us set out on two snowmobiles across one of the biggest lakes in Saskatchewan. We stayed at north country lodge and only fished for 1.5 days, but I was absolutely thrilled to catch this 35” giant. Mind you there are bigger lake trout in this amazing fishery, but I was still really happy to walk away with a master angler on my first ever lake trout trip.
