Staying in Durban, South Africa since 2011 I've mostly been saltwater fishing and fly fishing for bass. I wanted to get back into carp fishing so I got my old gear out of storage, replaced a few things and went up to a little urban lake near me. It has decent carp in it, along with bass, tilapia and catfish. using method leads and particles the carp weren't playing along but a feisty little catfish saved my blank. Now I know they also like molasses flavoured chickpeas. Not what I was after but it was nice to hear the alarm again. Hard to believe I bought these Fox Warrior alarms and Fox Euro Swingers all the back on 2008 lol. Same for my rods, reels are new because my old baitrunners are missing.
