Line up the threads between the handle and the body, hold the bail so it doesn’t spin, and crank the handle back on

It’s probably reverse thread. So left tightens it

Is that a Daiwa? You have to position it still and up and line the threads perfectly and then try screwing both directions.
If I remember right that part screws on leftwards, like someone commented, so ignore “righty tighty lefty loosey.”
Be patient. Sometimes lining the threads up evenly and perfectly takes a few tries.

If it has the screw on the opposite side, use some light grade lock-tite. Mine never fell off, but it became so loose that id hit my knuckles on the rod. Hopfully this helps for preventing this.
