I find livetarget baits to be very hit or miss. Ive used the 1 Oz version of these on salmon, and they worked really well jigging.
I have some lighter ones, I think theyre .5 Oz, that I cast for fish off piers in the fall. They dont seem to work as well for me casting.
Either way, just dress them and use them. Im not sure whats up with the new trend of asking internet strangers instead of just trying gear out for yourself. Water, technique, baitfish and target species all vary from lake to lake. Even my answer might be 180° from your experience.
