I think he might've scraped himself but most of the plants in his tank are real and the fake ones haven't caused any issue as far as I've seen. He has no tank mates (other than a snail) and lives in a 10 gallon. The second picture makes it look alot deeper than it actually is, but it's a good angle and he swims too much to get clear photos
I saw a little red mark on his stomach and the next day it was just open. He acts fine, swims fine, no eating issues, still energetic, etc. Can't find anything online like this. Most cases that look like him don't make it, I just really want to hold onto hope that he'll be able to heal
He is currently been in a hospital tank being treated with kanaplex, that's my only medication option for now.
His fins have also been really rough the past few months, I know I should've taken care of them sooner but my mental health has been trash and its been really hard to make myself take care for him and not just wallow and be sad about it. Not trying to make excuses, just trying to explain, yknow.
On that topic, if he's able to heal is there any way to fix his fins after this point? I hate seeing my boy like this and I really want him to recover :[
