I would recomend a baitcaster instead. but that rod is good, cant speak for the reel.

Yes thats a good setup. Id pick an ultegra over the tatula but thats not a bad choice. Ultegra would probably cast smoother. But perhaps the tatula MQ would have more cranking power due to MQ body? I dont know if thats actually a characteristic though.

This is just as much overkill as it was yesterday.

I’d get a medium moderate, for a little more flex for fishing lures with treble hooks and chatterbaits.

Chatterbaits on a spinning reel feels wrong to me. I’m 100% sure people do it but I just can’t imagine myself doing it. If you want spinning, I would get a different reel. Perhaps an Ultegra.
