I have a Old Town Sportsman pdl 106 and I am trying to come up with a solution for the bow hull storage area. It is a large space that has a ton of opportunity but the issue is items can slide through the entire hull. Does anyone have an ideas or experience with making either a wall to stop items from sliding or making some kind of tray or basket so the storage area can actually be used? (I know you can velcro things down but it is not ideal for storing many items or large items especially since it is not flat inside.)
Thank you for any help / comments!

I put a D-ring on the underside of the lid and attach three different sized dry bags to the D-ring with paracord and carabiners. It certainly isn’t the most space efficient way of doing things, but I’m able to fit everything I feel I need in there.
What do you want to stow? I have that yak and keep my battery box in there, with velcro holding it down. I also keep a spare prop in there, mounted on the underside of the hatch cover. I’ll throw my hoodie or rain jacket in there, but that’s it.

I keep a spare prop attached to the underside of the cover, along with shear pins and a floating prop knob stored in a ziplock back i the PDLcompartment. My lighting/fishfinder battery is secured up there with velcro as well.
I also made a rope loop long enough to run over the bottom side of the kayak and attach with a girth hitch to the handle on the opposite side. In the event the kayak flips, I can reach over, step onto the loop, and use it to help flip the kayak upright. I keep the knot in the loop on the outside of the closed hatch so that I dont have to open the hatch to access the rope, it will just slide out when pulled.
