Hey All,

I'm a teacher, and we do Salmon at my school, and the teacher who usually does salmon is out sick for the foreseeable future. These Fry just absorbed their egg sacs, and I'm not sure if their bellies are "buttoned up" yet. I don't want to feed them too early and be the guy who kills all the salmon, but I am also worried about waiting till Monday.

Hopefully, the video is good enough to tell. If not, I can get another angle and post that.

Also, sorry for my lack of fish knowledge! I wasn't sure on the correct terminology for all this, but hopefully a smart salmon person finds this post today :).

Use microscopic fry feeder and feed in small amounts at least 3 times a day. 3 or so drops per feed

  2. Kiddos school is raising salmon. He gets mad at the third graders because they keep messing with the temperature settings lol

Not gonna lie, you had me in the 2nd half.

Is the sick teacher unable to answer a text message? Only takes a day, the fry will be okay.

I haven’t raised salmon but I’ve raised tens of thousands of fish fry.

Generally when fish absorb all of their yolk sac they are ready to eat either a powdered food or finely crushed flake food. It takes about 3 days for the fish I raise to absorb their yolk sacs.
