All my plants get watered with fish water… When I remember to water them….

It’s all I use. I have a 140gallon turtle tank and my plants stay happy.

Yes! Plants absolutely love “poo water,” lol. I have two Monstera cuttings: one with its roots in my biggest tank and the other planted in soil. The one growing in water has grown faster and looks healthier, even though both are getting the same nutrient-rich water. The only downside is that the one in the tank drinks a lot of water… which might actually explain why it’s growing so quickly.

Tank water is fantastic for plants high in nitrogen when i was running my chiclid aquarium i ran a permanent syphon hose out to my magnolia trees

I always take my water out to give to the trees and plants in the yard, if my parents are around though I have to yell “whoooo wants NIIIIITRAAAATESSS!” Like we’re on a game show and offer it to them first.

Anyone that adds salt to their freshwater aquariums still use it on their pot plants? I’m concerned about the salt building up in the soil, even though I only use 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt in a 65 litre tank (very very soft water where I am)

this is news to me! The plant soil doesn’t start to smell or roots don’t rot from this?
