I am waiting for this piece of wood to sink but I have no idea what to do next. The wood take most of the place, there is around 90l of water and tank is 80 cm long.

What kind of plants/fish would you put in this tank ? My only requirement is to keep the wood

I think the log is to big. It is taking up 50% of the available swim space for the fish. Keep the rocks and find a smaller piece of drift wood.

You have 1/3 of the tank space, keep that in mind. It’s not a terrible thing if you stock it correctly. The tannins from that much wood will always be there making it yellow (not the technical name). I think it has a heap of potential and looks cool, a few plants and the right school or two will only add to it. Reaserch black water aquariums before you decide on anything.

If it were mine I would go for Glass Catfish, Gourami, and plenty of plants.

  3. Awesome hardscape – I’d definitely get a pair of bristlenoses for that first (ancistrus sp.) – they mostly subside on eating biofilm and algae off of such driftwood and won’t get too large for the tank.

Here’s mine at their favourite spot, which they stole from that larger king tiger pleco (hypancistrus L066). You can get bristlenoses in a ton of varieties, some more expensive than others.
