Honestly seems like a terrible idea. That glass is so delicate. Did you seal the wood?

That’s really cool, love the result! GJ!
What material are the frames made of?

Cool concept but picture frame glass is hella flimsy unless you cut down aquarium glass and sealed the pieces directly glass-to-glass somehow. If not, I don’t see this holding water.

Oh god. Yeah if that’s regular picture frame glass it’s gonna shatter eventually. There’s a reason aquarium glass is cut as thick as it is.

Ignore the haters. If you feel confident it will hold then go with it. If it breaks, it breaks. That’s a decision you can live with. According to Reddit my 29 gallon should have been on the floor years ago as it has sat on an Ikea six drawer Malm for over 5 years now. You will never find a thread about an Ikea dresser as a stand that doesn’t say it will fail yet they were all wrong about at least the six drawn malm. I was confident it would hold and it has been a great stand for half a decade.
