  1. This looks great! Looks like he has lots of places to rest and hide. I’m sure you’ve heard before that live plants are better if you can, but the silk ones you have look safe for bettas so if you don’t want to do live plants they’ll be okay. If anything I’d say its maybe a bit over crowded. What size is the tank?

Get These neon Stones out and all the plastic shit buy Life plants Long Life plants
These yellow octopus but them also out because of Micro Plastik or Piant can get off this thing and harm your Fish and water

  3. I love floating plants like forgbit my wee betta loves them as well. Helps defuse the light and keep it darker for him 🥰

Get some anubias plants, they are bombproof and will give your guy something to rest on and swim under. As well as lower your nitrates

I would remove the octopus as it may be made out a plastic that is not aquarium safe. If those colored rocks are for aquariums- I can’t tell if that is glass or plastic- it’s fine but if they are not then the same thing applies and I would remove them too.

This looks good so far! It may not be everyone’s style but that is fine.

:3 just get good low tech plants, liquid fertilizer or active soil, and a good full spectrum light— and ur set

  6. I’d get Anubis and any kind of stem plant and Java ferns. They are indestructible. Check out r/aquaswap ! Ask for low tech plant bundle!!

Also I agree with the other commenters the bright neon colors are notorious for leeching plastic in the tank and ultimately killing the fish. But it looks good!!

I see a thoughtfully-designed tank with lots of cover and a cool resting place and some hides. I think your fish will love this. I think long-term planning to transition to live plants is an awesome idea. I agree with other posters to make sure the octopus and substrate are healthy for him materials-wise, and of course get a good heater and filter if you don’t have one.

  8. My female beta adores having the round bowl shaped cup, way more than her tube tunnel.

BTW, did you name your fish after a character in a book? (If not, Mr Sparkles is the name of a pet sentient carnivorous plant in the Unconventional Heroes series). If yes, awesome name!
