Good jig heads or just whacky? If a good Amazon buy, what weight/size?

  1. Nah – literally just buy ones with and without weights

This is trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist

Not a bad if you want the option to make your rig into a shakey head. Its a little gimmicky but I see logic in buying something like that

A cool gimmick to try, but I think it’s beneficial for most soft body plastics to be on a “solid hook” setup. I feel like this would dampen the effect of a paddle tail or curly tail, and result in the lure just flipping around wildly.

The fact that the hook and lure can stay in line together allows the soft plastic to ripple or shake or whatever it’s supposed to do to appear natural or alluring to fish.

On the other hand, maybe the action this creates is just a shakey jiggle and not so bad. Some things are worth $7 to try when fishing, but there’s probably a reason you don’t know if it’s good or not.

Just use the style of hook to do a Texas rig or Carolina rig. Egg and bullet weights are cheap.
