My little sister got a Betta fish as a gift a few weeks ago and she knew her Betta tank wasn’t great so she asked me to help her with it when I got back from college for spring break. I surprised her and fixed the tank and it looks SO much better. Definitely not 100% yet I still wanna get A LOT more plants and such but the fish is so much happier!

  1. It’s really hard to grow plants in sand.  I recommend getting a shallow terracotta pot, and using gravel or aqua soil.  The benefit of putting your plant in a pot is that you can move it around and redecorate when you want- it can make it easier to clean too.

For this size tank Cryptocoryne Wendtii Green would be great.
