Yes because he’s stressed in that small glass, poor guy. Put him in a heated and filtered and properly cycled tank, with lot of real plants, lot of hiding spots everywhere (as well as resting spots near the surface), do not add any tank mates, and he will thrive in just a few days.

Its really not. Id expect though that in better conditions those colors will brighten and he will look GORGEOUS! The colors always pop when theyre well cared for.
