Betta Fish: They really are like water puppies

I had to travel out of town to a family funeral for a week- came back to top off and do a floater root trim- THIS guy tries to convince me that no one fed him all week (my students actually tend to *over*feed, so I’m not buying it)

His vibe is *exactly* like my coonhound’s vibe when we would reconnect after even a brief absence. Joy/love/hunger but also “how could you! How DARE you go away! I will never forgive!” (Flare flare flare!)
