I just got this neon tetra. he seem ok and is eating, but he is swimming tail up head down. it seems like he has to keep swimming down to stay in place. it was my first time feeding them and I dont think he was doing this prior.

Could be a swim bladder issue like an infection but he also could just be a little special

This is fine! Happens with my tetras occasionally. It just means they ate some air or too much food and are floating up. Goes away quickly:)

  3. I’ve have neons for about 6 years now and I’ve had a few that don’t stay level. They don’t fight against it they just have their nose down slightly like yours. I’ve haven’t seen them struggle due to it so It’s probably just a quirk of the fish, neons have poor genetics nowadays due to how they are bread so It could be related. Anyway, in the meantime keep an eye on them but I’m sure they will be fine
