My pretty boy, Yume, died. I checked his body and it looks like he choked on one of the shrimp. He usually chased the shrimp for a bit, then gave up. I only saw him eat 2 shrimp. I'm so devastated. I feel like I failed him. I cried for an hour.
I loved watching him swim around the tank. He even came to the surface whenever I feed him. I shared photos of him with a lot of my family and friends.
I was planning to move him to a bigger tank later this month. Guess I'll hold off on that. I don't think I can get another betta anytime soon. He was my first betta. I had him for a month. The shrimp will just populate the tank.

I’m so sorry, it’s always so hard to lose them. 😔 he was absolutely beautiful and clearly well taken care of!
Take your time to grieve and if you decide to take in a new friend, know that everything Yume taught you will pass on to another little life. ❤️
