They’re hybrids of a blood parrot and a convict cichlid. Being part convict cichlid should tell you enough of their temperament when faced with the same sex…
I recognize their body shape, those are NOT gouramis.

They had a crush on eachother and finally did something about it

They do that don’t worry

This behavior is believed to be a harmless territory-challenging behavior that generally occurs between two males… They are in fact fighting, just not aggressively. It will reduce in frequency as the fish matures. Gourami’s get quite large and should be in a 30+ gallon tank. They are known for ramming other fish on their sides and hurting their victims slime coat. They should not be kept with smaller fish. They can do well with medium sized tank mates but, every fish is an individual!

They are fighting
Aren’t their nicknames kissy fish
… you realize these fish are called “kissing gouramis” for a reason?
Anyways, they were playing Rocket League and got into a rule 1.
Me and the homies when we have a minor disagreement:
It’s a kissing gourami
Fish will ‘kiss’ like this to fight
Those are the leucistic variant of the polar blue parrot cichlid.
