Noticed this chip on my only Rapala F-18 in the firetiger pattern. (Probably from hitting ice/rocks on my last outing). Will the lure still swim properly? Last time I was at local Dunham’s(only store within an hour that carries these) they were out of stock for this pattern in this size and it’s the only lure I seem to be able to catch muskies on.

test it in the tub on a short lead by hand?
Should work perfectly fine I have some lures beaten to shit that work just fine. As the other person said you can always test it in a tub, or what i do is when I rig a plastic and wanna check the action I just pull it in the water in front of me to see if its balanced how I want it before yeeting the fucker out
If you are concerned just put a dab of clear nail polish on it.
The lure should work totally unaffected.
However if you find it is filling with water, let the lure sit in a dry place for a couple days.
Then use a little clear gorilla glue to seal the chips.
The glue might adhere better if you wet the spot with some water on your finger tip first.
I reseal wooden lures that have damaged clear coats this same way.
