I made a post a few months ago about making aquarium decor from pvc pipes. After deciding i wanted to add some definition to his tank as well as giving him different exploration options, I started looking at caves and came up with my own options. It started with the shorter round cave to learn to work with the material, and test to see if he would enjoy or despise a cave. He learned to trust it and then id catch him going through it several times a day, so it was time for phase 2: Operation bendy bois. I learned to bend pvc flat, and then worked the shape. For cave 2, I wanted to make it a little more built into the tank, so I made a tray to contain a layer of substrate, and cut hole into other decorations to put over the openings (One in the temple floor, and one under the bridge).
This is probably how I will keep it until im ready to step up to a 20 gal long, at which point ill have researched a way to coat the cave in a layer of substrate, or ill go full space pod vibes.
Tell me what you think!

Wow, I would’ve never thought of that! I love the idea. You should try recording a video of them swimming through it
