for some reason black beard algae grows like crazy in this aquarium and i hate it i want it gone i bought florish excel to kill it but then i realized i can’t even use it because i have corydoras in my tank so i bought a uv sterilizer to hopefully keep it under control but i also have otto’s in that tank so im not gonna run it all the time cause they need some algae but my otto’s eat pellets so would they be fine on algae wafers and pellets until i can get the bba under control

I’m currently going through the same exact thing. I’ve unplugged my light and stopped the c02 thing I had going. It’s slowly turning red and dying off 😬
I have corys and I use excel to spot treat BBA in my tanks using a pipette. Never had any issues with the corys
