I had posted a pic of my fish having either fish rot or nipping i was out all day and now my fish is laying down will swim for a bit and lay down again

Does he have spots towards the top of your tank to rest? It’s pretty normal for betta fish to lay down- but it’s better if there’s leafs or betta hammocks or something at the top for them to lay on. As long as he’s eating fine and your water parameters are good, I think this is pretty normal behavior for a betta.
