Betta Fish: Has anyone on here owned a betta with a scale disorder?

My girl Mika has had this spot on her side since i first ever bought her, and while she is growing and getting color beautifully, the spot seems to be growing with her (it used to be much smaller). It kinda looks like a “bald” spot, where her scales are completely white and slightly stand up a bit, it just has this odd texture.

She is doing great and not showing any signs of something being wrong. I’ve asked a similar question a while back, but has anyone had a betta with this? Does it affect their quality of life? I want to hear more experiences with this.
