What are the soft plastics you always have with you? And what setups do you throw them on?
Here are mine:
Yum Dinger: I use the 4” and 6” in green pumpkin, junebug, and tinfoil color. Tried Senkos, but Dingers seem to last longer and they’re less expensive. I mostly wacky rig these but occasionally will TX rig.
Yum Craw Papi: I use the smaller 2” version with a 3/32 ounce EWG ball jighead. I like black/blue flake and PBJ colors. GREAT for creek fishing too, especially for smallmouth.
Zoom Baby Brush Hog: I don’t know what the hell this is supposed to imitate, but it’s my 1st choice for TX rigging. It just gets bit. I use black/red flake and junebug.
Zoom Trick Worm: I put these on shaky heads and TX rigs. Green pumpkin and bubblegum. They also look great when wacky rigged, but they get torn up quickly.
BPS Hellgrammite: I use these in green pumpkin and rig them the same way as the Craw Papis. Smallmouth candy!!
Zoom Speed Frog: Weightless TX rig ‘em and fish ‘em like a buzzbait. Strikes are VICIOUS. I like white and green pumpkin.
I throw 95% of my soft plastics (basically everything except the speed frogs) on spinning gear…6’6” M, 6’6” ML, and 6’ L action.
Caught the bass in the pic yesterday on a 4” junebug dinger, wacky rigged, on my ML setup.
