I just took out my first pole today and I was encountering a problem where reeling was very slow and I was getting these kinks in my line.
Is there any way to prevent this and/or fix it?

did the line came already on the reel? or did you reel the line?

first thing to do is respool the reel, get some Omniflex at walmart (cheap), pull all the old line off and watch a tutorial on YT on how to properly restring a spincast reel. no idea how they spool those things in china but it is terrible far more often than not… when you are ready for a bit better gear DM me and I will happily offer advice
