The drag is jerky and not smooth like other reels is there something I can do to fix this or is it straight up not fixable. This combo costed me less than $30 and is cheap but I’ve caught many big fish on it and want to keep using it.

Apply drag grease

Replace the drag washers, should be less than $10. Cheaper reels will wear out a lot faster than nicer ones.

Drag washers might be dirty or just naturally dry and scratchy; clean and re-grease. Take a pic of the order of washers so you don’t mis-assemble it.
