Seachem : “I can’t believe we have to say this but do not apply our products to your genitals. The clankers are trying to sterilize you.”

This is absolutely nuts. That being said, copper is the preferred ich treatment. But not if you keep invertebrates. If you have a marine aquarium or inverts in your tank you’ll need to transfer the fish into a quarantine tank to treat them. While leaving the display aquarium fallow. Also raise the temperature of the affected tank to 80-82*F. This will speed up the parasites life cycle and effectively “burn it out” of the tank. A good UV sterilizer is a life saving piece of equipment and will keep keep in check. I highly recommend investing in one on all aquariums.
