I’ve had my betta for 6 months now and noticed around a week ago that he suddenly had this lump on his left side and wondering what it could be.
He is still very active and eating well. There’s really no other issues with him besides the lump (and the fin nipping but I assume it was from the moving process of when I moved houses that stressed him out a bit but it’s healing/growing back well now).
It’s also not very noticeable until he bends in an angle that’s when it sticks out quite a bit. At first I thought it was a bit of bloating however the right side of his body is completely flat. I’ve also tested the parameters of the water and everything is looking good which is why I’m confused on what could’ve caused this.
If anyone could let me know what they think it could be and if I should be concerned, please let me know thank you
More tank details: He’s in a 21 L tank (5.5 gallons), heater (25-30 Degrees Celsius) and has a bunch of live plants.
