Wanted to show off this sweet baby after a few years of not having a betta! I have had 4 in the past, wonderful personalities and so lovable!
My partner picked him out for us to raise together and we adore this funny little guy! His name is after a Japanese citrus fruit called Mikan! His cup says tangerine koi, so I figured a citrus fruit 'similar' to a tangerine would be an awesome name for him.
He is in a 5.5 gallon I have had for MANY many years with 3 of my previous betta kept in it over those many years. (The 4th betta was in a 20 with corydoras at one point, who was my last betta until Mikan.)
He has been very interactive since day one! When I bought him new plants to swap out into his tank, as I was putting them in he was exploring the plants and laying on them as I was moving them! No fear, just curiosity! He is a very sweet boy and I hope for a full life span with him <3
