I’m asking for the species of tree it came from. This is in my 55gallon. It’s my absolute favourite piece of driftwood. I love the tiger stripe pattern. Dark and orange. Will this beautiful coloration fade?
Almost resembles mopani. I have a piece in my aquarium. It’s dark but has some cool orange makings as it’s been in water for months. Mopani. Lots of tannins!

Redmoor/red moore. It’s the roots of a rhododendron tree or bush. The color will fade with time to be a normal dark brown. They can be very red when first submerged.
