So I’ve been searching around on Facebook marketplace for fish stuff while redoing my 10gal tank, and came across a post of a woman selling an old tank along with the fish. I saw she had a cute crown tail betta and I’m now tryna decide how to go about picking the fish up. I asked some questions about her temperament and the seller said she was amazing with other fish and super curious! My only thing is, I more or less just finished putting my tank together and it hasn’t had time to properly cycle. Would I be okay to get the fish and let them cycle in the tank? Or would that be unsafe? I’ve had lots of fish before but I’ve never had my tank properly cycled and my fish were fine in the past, but I wanna make sure I’m doing things completely right this time around.

Also does she look healthy? The seller said she was a rescue from petco and is much healthier now! I also wanna know some good food to get her to keep her bright colors and make sure nothing icky can make her sick again

Another thing is, I wanna start bonding with her asap so she gets used to me! And I might possibly try and pick her up today as I’ll be pretty busy and not home for a couple hours the next three days. I’m a little worried about making sure she does fine in the tank while I’m gone. I can for sure have my twin check on her while I’m out too so not too worried about that.

Anyways here’s some pics of her!!
