want to buy this for him but I am going to sand it down definitely. and id like to grow some moss on the outside so it looks more like a little hobbit hole or a floating island.

So the first one would be fine but it’s horrible for them to sleep on since it goes to a point. Not too comfy to sleep in a pot hole. Second one would be fine but make sure the holes are not large because betta’s can get stuck in slightly larger holes.
Also sand it down with fine sandpaper. Course stuff will just ruff it up more since it’s 3D printed and the layer lines tend to get caught in rough sandpaper and get sharp and pointed from being caught and bent.

I reccomend this hammock instead! But make sure to cover it with moss. I have a crown tail too and he loves his hammock ❤
