Overrated for me because they’re boring to fish and very productive for multiple species. But to each their own, nice fish.

Literally one of the most popular lures of all time. I don’t know a single fisherman who doesn’t own at least a couple.

I agree to a point, it was one of the 1st I ever learned to use. I prefer the mepps ones but they do catch fish.

In-line spinners are one of the most popular lures ever. I guess in bass fishing other lures and techniques are trendier right now but inline spinners are k own to catch everything and everyone has a few.

By who? Everyone I know (including me) knows they catch all sorts of species at all times of the year.

  6. Very popular lure around here. They are my go to and many others I know go to lure for when they just want something to bite. A lake local to me has a ton of rock bass and a 1/16 panther martin on a UL setup is a blast. Also does some work on low pressure trout and all white rooster tails are my go to for crappie if I don’t have minnows and I don’t wanna jig for them. But typically I catch too many other things trying to catch large mouth on them so I never use them to directly target large mouth.

Yeah idk about that, I don’t think I know a single angler who doesn’t own multiple

These are essentially crack for river smallmouth. Only reason I don’t use one all the time is because I find it more fun to catch them on other rigs

I honestly think Mepps specifically are underrated. Lots of people like panther martin and blue fox, but the blade action compared to an Aglia is unmatched. I have every single color and almost every size

I don’t throw them in ponds much but it’s probably my most used lure in creeks. My only gripe is it tends to attract smaller fish more than other lures.

Reddit is such a bizarre place. I swear it’s 80% bots now just trying to blend in
