I dont have a betta fish yet

I did not want a long fin because im paranoid of health issues but now im paranoid a short fin would jump out even with a lid. I want the tank (10 gallon) to be suitable for both types incase I change my mind at the store.

I just added amazon swords. I have moneywort coming in the mail and am thinking of water sprite next. What els can i add? Besides real floating ringsšŸ˜…

I’m not an experienced enough fish keeper to comment on suitability (although I see nothing that I would add aside from a lid), but had to pop in here and say your tank is gorgeous 🤩 it’s genuinely looks so cute and naturalistic I’m in love.

The only thing I can’t see is a lid!! Bettas are jumpers, so make sure you get one. There are ones you can cut into to keep your plants on top. If the fish jumps and hits the lid it would be a lot less hurt than if it jumps and you don’t find it for hours…

    Your tank looks great!

  3. I’m not an expert on lucky bamboo, but it *may* not be able to be grown submerged like that. I feel like I’ve seen folks say to grow it similarly to pothos, with just the roots submerged in the water, but I could be totally incorrect.

The tank looks great however! I’m sure a betta would love it

If the tank has the basics (like filter, heater) and it’s cycled, I think it looks beautiful!! If the plants grow out or you add another towards the middle, the betta will have more areas to swim through and rest. It’s beautiful! šŸ’—

Had to add this on here even though someone already mentioned it. I encourage you to get a lid just to be safe! We don’t want any jumpers!
