I just recently bought a 9’ Daiwa Blackline 902MXS rod for spring run. I was looking for lightweight set up for surf fishing because the last set up I had took a toll on my body after casting 50 times and walking the beach. I have 2 reels to pair it that are a Penn 550 SSG and a Daiwa BG 4500. What are your opinions on the rod and reels? I feel like the Daiwa BG 4500 might be a little too heavy for walking and casting the beach. I’m not too sure about the Penn. If you don’t like these reels for a lightweight set up what Reel do you recommend under $300 preferably. Please let me know thank you

Or a Shimano Stradic or Vanford if you prefer being fancy.
