I have no idea what the specs are for this rod, i was just given it by my grandfather. It looks to be be a much older fiberglass two piece, 9 foot Garcia conolon falcon 407. I dont know what any of that means. Lots of details where it would say the specs are all gone from rubbing off, but if you guys know, let me know.

Garcia Conolon. Basically abu garcia now
One of the early Conolon, probably from around 1950. It’s fiberglass and what is referred to as “tobacco glass” due to the color. At that age and 9 feet of length, I think I’d start with an 8 weight, hope for it to be a 7 weight. A well regarded rod when new.
