Going to Puerto Rico for the 3rd time in a month or two. Fished both times i’ve been there, and had a guide the first time. I won’t have a boat, but might get a paddle board and bungee cord jerry-rig a cooler on there as a makeshift seat. Going west side of the island. South west there are mangroves, mid to northwest mostly sandy mixed with small patches of reef in between (couple of 1-2 mile stretches of reef as well). I only have 2 8wt rods and a 7wt. Wondering what i should target specifically, what flies to use, what setup (shock leader, what lbs test, etc), and any advice I can get. Picture is what flies I have so far, and some i’m having a guy tie for me.

There are snook, tarpon, and needlefish from what i’ve seen, along with your typical reef species.

Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated if you’re still with me.
