Getting back into the hobby and I'd like some feedback on what I have going on so far.
Should I trim the plants?

I’m not an expert but imo I’d only trim the plants if they’re blocking the light from getting to the other plants. If the plants start to or seem like they’re blocking the light then yes I’d trim them

No, I reckon it looks fine. Yep just fine… I’m having the same problem with my backyard, it’s still clean from last year but I was trying to make a fire.
If I were you I would maybe set up like a second or third tank and try to grow some plants to maybe offload to your friends or resale for something to do. This tank appears to be in a stable LITHA-mode
