So I have this albino longfin bristlenose pleco in a 40 gal community tank. I’ve added some photos so you can see the size of the pleco and the large piece of wood that’s also in the tank. I have tried feeding him some algae wafers (Which he loves) as a supplement to the algae growing on the long, but the Bumblebee catfish I also have in the tank have a taste for the algae wafers as well. At this point, as soon as I drop the algae waterline the bumblebees come out searching for it and snatch it up before the pleco gets a chance. Do you think he will have enough food to grow and be healthy without the algae wafers? Or am I going to have to come up with some other solution. And advice would be appreciated!
P.S. please ignore the dying orchid and I am just about to give the tank a top up

Plecos have a big appetite and should always be fed, especially as they grow older and larger, with the algae/biofilm in the tank no longer being enough to sustain them
Algae wafers, sinking pellets, blanched vegetables, and frozen foods all make for a healthy, balanced diet
Oh, and it’s also recommended to have mature, waterlogged driftwood for them to rasp on; helps aid in digestion 🙂
