He was doing great until I did a water change yesterday. Must've accidentally caused a crash because my nitrite is at 0.5 ppm… Sorry little mate. He's currently got white stuff on his head, some on his mouth and a little bit under his tail, the bottom of his belly also seems a bit discoloured. I'm doing a water change now, but I'd like to know what kind of infection this is and how to treat it! He's alone in his 5 gallon tank at the moment, and is fed 4 pellets a day. I do not have a heater as temperatures where I live has never gone below 25°c, but I do have a filter and other equipment.

    I would start with pellets mixed with kanaplex and kanaplex and aquarium medication salt in the tank, maybe net to hold still and drop a drop of methylene blue on the mouth
