Trying to catch bluegill and bass, 60 degree weather north Alabama. About 20 foot deep private lake. Haven’t had much luck fishing mid day

Well, what have you tried?

Need more info on what you’re using for bait or lures. For bass, and if you’re using lures, I’d suggest targeting any structure that’s available. Tree branches, drains, docks, etc.

Bluegills love structure and shade. Try looking for underwater vegetation where they might be hiding. It also depends on the lure or bait that you’re using. I would use a simple bobber setup with a small hook probably #10, #12, or #14 and a redworm or mealworm. I catch bluegill all the time and it also works for other fish like bass or crappie.
